Wooden crucifix If God gave us the ability to mock It, why is it wrong then to do so?
I openly mock that old goat God frequently, using my supposedly God-given faculties to devise various forms of mockery.
At home, I take various symbols of religious significance to God and desecrate them mercilessly. I give props to those other competing gods that might be out there as I tear pages out of the Bible and use them to roll cigarettes. I turned a rather drab wooden crucifix into a very useful back scratcher.
If God indeed gave us the ability to mock, why then should we not do this? It harms no one, it is merely a presentation to an audience of one, God Itself. If God exists, surely It would convey Its protest?
Soleil: Right, but in the case of the pig or of theft, there is a victim, whereas mockery of God entails victimization of no animal, human or otherwise, but rather an entity which may or may not exist.
It's the other side of the free will coin. With free will comes responsibilty. So if you choose wrongly, then there is a good reason to judge you unfit for the kingdom.

My point is these people were responsible for some of the great movies back then. The Bells of St. Mary's--Boys Town etc. How can you say the stars are not important when we have such persons as Madonna or Brittany Spears or some of the other trash Like Paris Hilton who undermine all the young people's morals. If we give more kudos to those who deserve them maybe the jerks will take notice and act accordingly. The stars that were religious in the old days really influenced Hollywood. Today it is the opposite.
