Which church contains the actual remains of Saint Cecilia?
Cecilia, the saint who was martyred sometime in the First Century A.D. three days following an unsuccessful attempt to decapitate her. Some 1,000 years later, her body was exhumed and found to be intact and incorrupt (with the hack marks still visible), which a sculptor modelled a marble statue after, now on display in the church where the body is entombed.
However, there's a church in Torcello, where her skull is said to be kept as a relic, which contradicts the story of the unsuccessful decapitation .
So, which church contains the actual remains?
