If you're in med school, is it possible for you to volunteer with Peace Corps, Red Cross, etc.?
do you have to do it on your breaks, or do they offer opportunities while you're actually studying?
Red Cross yes, Peace Corps no. The Peace Corps requires 27 months, 3 months of training and 24 of service. PCVs tend to work in places that take 2 - 3 days to reach from the USA. I did. My daughter does.
There is, very probably, a Red Cross chapter in your town, and they'd welcome your offer to volunteer for an evening once a week/month.

medical colleges really only pay attention to stuff you do in undergrad.
they'll probably acknowledge the high school things but you need to really work hard in college. keep a 3.6+ GPA all 4 years, good MCAT scores, a lot of volunteer work.. it's rough.
and 1660 is pretty low for your first SAT score (well it's average but low for medical college) but i think most medical colleges don't even look at SAT scores because it's unimportant and doesn't test your knowledge.
