Does celtic woman lip sync?
I was just wondering becuase it seems like they sound way too good to be true. And you can't hear them breathe in their microphones. And when they performed on dancing with the stars, they sounded way different and not as good at all.
Don't get me wrong these ladies are AMAZING, but i was just wondering?
The answer to your question is this. It depends on your perspective. What they do is they use prerecorded tracks for some of the numbers. However they also sing to them on stage. So what is happening on stage may or may not be projected over the sound system. They don't do this with all the track only some of them. And its not the same tracks for each show. This keeps the fans confused.
Its done to save their voices. You made a great observation concerning Dancing With The Stars. This is a Classic case of their voices being strained. That was also the first time the choir was used on live TV with Celtic Woman. Usually the choir doesn't ever perform on the TV promotions on live broadcasts. This was done to mask the strain in their voices. They are on a long tour and it takes its toll.
These are the reasons why I always sit in the first few rows. Im sure they do some lip syncing but some of it is live and some is sing along to recorded tracks. If you understood the pressure these people are under on these tours then you would understand. They don't get proper rest. And they are always on the move.
When you see them as much as I have you pick up on alot of this.
