I chose College of the Holy Cross over University of Notre Dame. was this a mistake?
I am from the Boston suburbs and just did not relish the idea of spending 4 years in dumpy South Bend, Indiana. I know the ND campus is beautiful but South Bend turned me off and was so far from civilization. Holy Cross also has a great campus and only 40 miles to Boston or Providence. I guess I also didn't want to be too far from home to be honest.
Princeton Review rates the academics for these two schools as follows:
College of the Holy Cross: 98
Notre Dame: 94
Do well at Holy Cross and you can get into the same grad school that you would be going to coming out of Notre Dame. Notre Dame is better known nationally due to its sports but Holy Cross is highly respected. At #33 Holy Cross is the top ranked Catholic Liberal Arts College on the US News and World Report Rankings for national LACs.

Holy Cross interview question?
I would absolutely love to go to holy cross and am planning on applying through early decision - and I've heard that interviews for this school are really important. Though, on their website is says to schedule the interview by november 1st, and I just found out that their early application deadline was in december
Does anybody know if it would be possible for me to still schedule an interview with the college ?
Call the Admissions office and say what you cited above. I am sure that they make exceptions all the time. They really want to encourage students to apply ED because predicting yield from the general application pool is not an exact science so they greatly prefer ED applications.
