The Crucifix?
Is the Crucifix mainly a Catholic/Greek Orthodox symbol ?
Or is it used it Anglo-Saxon churches as well?
What is the history?
I usually only see Catholics with Crucifix's but Jesus did die on the cross, so why would it only pertain to the Catholic Church ?
I'm very curious about this.

the crucifix is a cross with a man (Jesus) on it....a cross is just a cross.
Catholics have a long standing tennat with Jesus' suffering at death and therefore the crucifix is seen prevailant over cathedrals and catholic shurches world wide.
Protestants and generic Christians do not concentrate on Jesus' suffering but strive to be like him, live like him so on and so forth. The crucifix is not usually used unless its high ritual or displaying Christ as a sufferer. The cross is usually used for Protestants to be a symbol of being Christlike.
While a crucifix is a specialized cross, a cross is a generalized symbol. Rather like Christianity is based off of Christ, but Catholic and Protestant are specialized forms of Christianity.
