I'm scared of Catholic Churches?
This question isn't meant to be rude at all
but there is this this big castle like catholic church in my neighborhood
I walked in one time and the statues and gian't stain glass windows with all the dramatic pictures on them make me very uncomfortable
I understand.My faith has meeting within people's homes and in rented buildings.We don't even have crosses up, so I find Catholic churches quite scary.I studied European churches as a part of art history while at school and it seems churches were build to appear to be soaring up to the sky and heaven, and to intimate the people.The interiors were made very fancy to earn a sense of awe.Personally, they are very pretty, but the Catholics and the Anglicans could have better spent that money on the poor and needy, as Jesus requested and just built a plain, simple building with a tiny bit of money.
